With regard to 'Slick50' if you go to thier website there are no more claims of making your engine perform better or last longer. The reason is that they were fined $20M for false claims over thier product.

The only claims they make know are that it prevents friction and heat, and considering you are buying a small bottle of engine oil they can get away with that

I once worked on a short contract for a very well respected oil company begining with 'D' and remember the chief chemist telling me that all aditives are wasted money at best. He stated that if any of them worked they would be using the same technology.

Well can confirm that I have been running it on the maganatec 10w40 for a week and it is soooo much quieter and smoother.

I had been using cheapish comma semi synthetic 10w40 and it was so noisy I thought I was going to have to do a top end overhaul.

So we have our answer, for classics at least, Castrol Magnatec 10w40 semi synthetic seems to be the way to go.

castor oil is a one use only type race oil and tends to be a monograde so dont use it

Thought Cazzie R was only available as a 2T oil???

I always run my strokers on it, and even add a capful to a tank of petrol on the 4T lawnmower... waste of money really but you can't beat 'that' smell!

Castrol R is a 4T racing oil for certain classic engines and speedway engines

i think Castrol R30 and R40 are the only Castrol R's you can get now

You can get other castor oils from Castrol such as Castrol B353 SAE 40 and Castrol M SAE 50

Castrol A747 is the 2T castor oil

2T oils are a good idea in all 4T fuels to act as an upper cylinder lubricant
