Have a freelander 2 2010 and the seat keeps on dropping, It's a manual operated seat action with a little lever you pump to raise the height. If I have it on the highest point it will drop over a couple of hours to its lowest point. Are there any fixes for this, something I need to tighten, replace etc. any hints on how to fix this would be good before I go ahead and rip out the seat and sit on a box.

Try wedging the height adjustment handle to rule out that as you get out the car you’re pushing the handle down as you do so.

Otherwise I think there’s a stronger height adjustment mechanism available which also helps - the first item is free to try second one costs money....

Stick a couple of bricks under the seat to stop it sinking. These can be utilised later to chock the wheels when the handbrake fails.

Hi I had the same problem turned out to me sliding out of the seat each time it lowered the seat adjuster a little
Put the seat to desired position fixed a block to the side of the seat under the adjuster lever job done

cheers for that denboy removed cover where seat belt goes through & placed block of wood under mechanism.
job done

Mine has the same issue, I assumed it dropped on its own whilst i wasnt in the car ...I'll have to look further thanks to this thread ..
