just wanted to say thankyou to all who contribute...my freelander decided to become a Bondmobile & start emitting a large smokescreen before xmas ...left it with a local specialist who put a new turbo on it & I cried but paid, got it back & was fine still a bit smoky so took it for a run on the motorway to clear out the pipes...it got worse again...limped back home (with smokescreen...sorry to anyone behind me in sheffield last weekend) googled smoky freelander found Landyzone then found out all about the crankcase breather...wish I'd known about it sooner, coulda saved a grand on a new turbo
...whingin' over with anyway put new breather on monday...all seemed ok quick run up to Brnsley to clear smoke, just passed MOT yesterday 1st time so all is well again in my world...just wanted to say many thanks to everyone who talked about it esp. those who took the time to put on a pic of where the breather is...big thanks -Dan
