seems a bit wrong that WLM started the thank you thread, the effort that you guys have put in for free for the second year was fantastic. As far as I'm aware everyone enjoyed the music. The guys from the Caravan Site told us yesterday that they thought the DJ and choice of music was excellent!

I'm not going to do a Bafta speech, the people that put effort in yet again are always greatly appreciated, it wouldn't happen without you guys.
The Curry on Saturday night was awesome! shame it didn't all go but Sam and Rob recovered their costs and gave the rest to the charity, a very nice gesture from them after all the hard work.

I know that not having the big shower block was a bit of a bummer but it would be nice to have feedback about other things and what could be better etc. Cutting the cost of the Showers and Marquee made this year much easier financially. I will post the official figures when all the exact costings are worked out but, at the moment it looks like we may have the a small chunk to go towards buying another Marquee as well as donating £600 to Charity in memory of Freddy.

Lots of people did their best to make this happen, thanks to all of you!

So who will open the planning thread for next year?

What were your impressions people who went?

NO PROBS WITH THIS YEAR - REALLY ENJOTED IT - but how many more could have helped? So not all sh*t is taken on by a small few - or was I mistaken?

Thanks to all who spent their time making such an enjoyable event.

However to involve the unheard populous :
Event location - to stop bitching - take a poll.
What needs to happen?
What events need to take place?
Intro Day (Friday.. get ****e to site xxx am.. nn turn up to create the event..)
Day one (Sat) Green lane 1,2,3 Start 12:00; 12:30; 13:00, whatever
leaders, 5no max per route, route intro & rules
Who does what - and by when?

What is needed?
What food?
By when?
At what cost to create / and per vehicle / person?
Day 2 - what happens there? - everyone ****ed off it seems to me; OK if a long way to go but no goodbyes - sigh.

What more do you want its just off the M1 I'm happy to drive for 2:30 hours to get there And every one else coming further had no problems with it..
KEEP IT WERE IT IS.
.

its in the Midlands, most events get held here because its central for most people ,ok not so bad from me coming from wales but take vilguy for example,6 hours away, still made it,did not complain and had a good time, the events fine where it is,just be grateful you have such a event and the people who made it happen, mainly off there own backs and own time, last year there was a nasty shortfall with the cost's involved and LZ had to absorb it ,we are all lucky LZ 11 happened

Trying to sort the location isn't an easy thing....

Ahhmmm

Just relax

I have no issues at all with anything that was organised, all was very good.

Every one I met really enjoyed themselves.

Look, just slow down and read my questions for a next event again.

I can really understand the planning and execution into this event, as I have organised such events before.

I appreciate the effort done by the so few.

My comment of the day 2 where everyone ****ed off :

Look

No I did not say they were ****ed off I said they ****ed off without saying goodbye.

They all went out of the lower gate.

Ok = we at least not enemies any more?

Look I can say more to apologise for the miss-understanding my previous has done.

Bu&&er - say hello to the dog from me least then:(

No, I drove 4 hours to get there.
I just heard of rumours that people would like less, a poll therefore??

The venue and location is a big issue, we looked into dozens of possible places last year and the vast majority wouldn't even entertain the idea....or even reply to us.

Smaller, regional gatherings are a possibility if snyone wants to organise them but I think it's important to keep a main central annual event to give us the best chance to all get together.

I for one was surprised so many turned up on Friday. Last year there was a handful of us. This year there were loads! Because people have to travel it is inevitable that Sunday will wind down very quickly.
As for location (here we go again ) I will happily travel hours to get to a location where it's all been sorted out and all I need do is pitch up and party!

Did you actually go? This was all sorted by those who were there too .. we all chipped in as we were able, indeed when 'my' group were sorted for 12.30 we decided, with the organisers involvement, to bring it forward to 11.30 simply 'cos we were all ready to go!

What is needed?
What food?

As usual it _is_ the same people who help, but many of us do try to help 'remotely' .. I was a leader for a laning group for instance and tried to book tickets as early as I could .. what more could I, or others actually do when we live nowhere near?

We turned up Friday and would have helped set-up except we couldn't set off early due to work so didn't arrive till, well, I dunno but we didn't set off till maybe 4pm .. though we did help a bit last year when we did get off work a bit earlier.

As for ****ing off, a few of us went to a Pay 'n Play, a few went laning .. but we came back to say goodbyes .. Simply can't say goodbye to everyone, in fact didn't meet everyone, life happens elsewhere too ....

Yeah, I thought it was great. The venue was really good, awesomely easy to get to and nice and flat with some great views.

I don't want regional ones, keep it one big one. I'm happy to check out some potential midlands sites for next year if you want?

Showers didn't bother me, I'm not that clean anyway :D

Curry was amazing, I wanted another helping but Sarah said no (don't hit me Sarah, I already have one black eye).

I think the having some kind introduce yourself thing would be good, I feel there were lots of people I didn't meet, though its my fault for being shy...

I said goodbye to people. Anyway who ended up with the cakes, that is the big question! Sarah had packed my wallet somewhere so I couldn't take any for the road :(

Yeah, we were looking at the cakes, I was sad because of how good they looked! It was packed with the clothes apparently, obvious really...

The eye is fine as long as I don't move my face or close it! It'll heal...
