hi can anyone help ive just bought a freelander and the temp gauge has stopped working ive changed the temp sensor and still nothing when i take plug off sensor the fan kicks in is that normal thanks

Have you tried putting a sausage in your ear and singing the Austrian National Anthem?

K series has two sensors opposite each other, top/front (brown) sensor sends info to engine Management, second bottom/rear one (black) is for temp gauge make sure you've fitted correct one in right place.
if still don't work, try the sausage again!
