Yeah, wasn't exactly what I had in mind but my normal route was well over 2.5k and the route I took was 800 quid.
The customer does pay but they would not have been happy at that price.
I guess it must just be the run up to Christmas. At least I'm done for this year!

saying as ive caused so much trouble ill stick around a bit. what frustrated me is the many hrs i spent googling and no getting what i needed. i hd been putting in cylinder numbers tdv8 firing order. you name it and couldnt get anywear. guess the a good saying is its only easy when you know how. any way now i know wear inj no 8 is ive got the nice chalange of removing it then inspecting a egr valve that i think destroyed its self. but ill attempt a how to on replacing injector

Pop 8 into one of the others and see if fault moves.

That's a good shout moving the injector, as said if fault moves injector if it stays check wiring.

ive already invested in a new injector. but had 4 fault codes altogether

p0196 pending oil temp sensor

p02b8 intermitant

p0490 un known

p0489 perm

egr blanked but my understanding is egr can still cause issues if jammed open. ill find out when i investergate over xmas hols

It only took me 17 hr to fly to the Falkland Islands, Flying with the RAF from Briez Norton but it cost 1100 pounds one way
