2.0_hippo Well-Known Member Oct 22, 2013 #2 All chipping is said to put the gearbox under more strain than normal Just don't race it around all the time and you will be fine Iv always chipped my cars (for off road/ show purposes of course ) and never had any issues My friend had his 3.6 tdv8 sport remapped and he said it absolutely flew about after ! It made a big difference on my td6

S sandyt Well-Known Member Oct 22, 2013 #3 I was looking at the 4.2 supercharged then thought about the 3.6 remapped which should? give the same performance and better economy but cant find what the remapping does in the way of performance
