Good evening everyone,

So after a new gear box and getting the TD6 up and running 2 days later the EGR pipe coming off the exhaust side and into the cooler completely ruptured, so I replaced the pipe, and 2 days later its completely burst again. I've ordered a blanking plate and I have removed the EGR valve after the first pipe burst.

What could be causing the rupture?

Into the cooler? There is a cooler in the EGR feed??
The pressure should not be high enough to burst anything.

I wouldn't have thought there was that much pressure either. But it's the metal pipe coming from the exhaust side then going into the EGR cooler.

That's scary, no way the pressure should be enough to split the metal pipe. Sorry, I can't imagine what the problem is.

That's what's worrying me. Both pipes snapped in the same place. I seen somewhere someone said the cat could be blocked.
