Hello,

My 2002 Disco cuts out after 2-3 seconds. I`ve discovered that if i get out of the car lock it and open it again will start for 2 seconds and after that dies. If i try again without locking-unlocking it just turns the engine and no start.

I `ve tried to disconnect the batery for 10 min. No result.
The pump works fine in my opinion. Buzzz for about 18 seconds. No strange noises. I did replaced it about 4 weeks ago.

Last night the car was fine - no signs of failure. This morning - no go.

Does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?

Thank you.

If there is fuel, is it possible that the security system is playing a role. Consider locking the vehicle then gaining entry by using the key combination and not the fob. You need to start the engine within 30 seconds of entry before it imobilizes again.

Probably worth checking the engine feed relay(s) to make sure you have a good feed. If the fuel pump is running, then the fuel cutoff solenoid feed should also be live and it should start.

What year and model Disco is it?

Tested it today.

We used Autologic & Nancom.

Found error: ECU is immobilized.

Tried codes EKA. No result.

Conclusion: might be the ECU or the BCU.

Any ideas?
