Two weeks ago my TD5 died at the road side (in France). Had been suffering from the occasional misfire, and the injector loom replacement was planned. Car recovered to a non LR garage where it has sat until Friday when new injector loom was fitted by a friend. The loom from the injector loom to ECU was stripped and cleaned as was the connector at the ECU. The ECU has not got oil inside, but the loom was pretty oily. This made no difference. Next the MAF was changed, as I ordered one of these too. The car started on maybe 3 cylinders, but would not run properly, and then died again. The fuel filter has been changed too. Clean fuel no carap or water in it. What to try next (and don't say a dealer please).

Come on guys. Ideas please.

thanks Bob

Had same symtoms with my 90 it was the fuel pump that had died, can you hear the fuel pump run when you turn on the ignition?
