Very interesting but at the same time a bit of a sickener, as wifey has a Citroen Pluriel Sensodrive, and none of them seem to cover it.

I think Foxwell are primarily focused on the American market where Citroen do not have a presence. However, they are a Chinese company and Citroen sales in China are on the up; so maybe they will be adding Citroen in the future - though I take the point that this will probably just be available on the 530. :(

When I rang them a while back they said "oh, it'll be £40" and went on about how to do it, so this is all a bit weird!o_O

Maybe I'll ring them again!
But get your point!

I have just checked the Foxwell site for the NT530 and it does have software for Citroens. Looking at the coverage here; it looks at if the C3 Pluriel is covered. Are you sure it is not available on the 520?

We seem to be getting mixed messages, somehow. But yes, that is what Foxwell said to me, that, yes, it is available for my 520. So I was, until yesterday, sure it could be done!
Don't feel the need for it at the mo, but will look at it and also mention it on the C3 fora, as they all try to go with another thing, Lexia, that needs to be run on an older 32 bit computer. This is sadly now older tech, although we do have one older laptop it could prolly run on, but is not connected to the internet.
Whole thing is a pain in the rear and makes me pine for the days when all you had to do was make or buy the odd special tool!:(:(:(
However, having looked at what it can do there are some big holes, for instance nothing at all about the clutch actuator which is deffo summat I'd have hoped to see as that is necessary if you are going to change the clutch on the Sensodrive.
But yes there is useful stuff there. Thanks for finding this for me. Very grateful.:):):):):)

Just an update TD5s been to the doctors today and my garage are saying possibly the throttle body actuator? Could be causing the problem.

Just looking at parts now.

Just wondered what's peoples thoughts on that.

Do they mean the Throttle Position Sensor? If so the MIL (Engine Check Light) would be lit if it was faulty.

I presumed the receptionist meant the TPS ....they said it was expensive .....but it's not storing any codes......my revs dont drop when clutch is depressed ....disangaing the clutch switch didnt work ...scratching my head which way to go

What do you mean by disengaging the clutch switch? if you uplugged it you didnt disengage anything cos it's N/O switch

I just followed a thread on here which someone unplugged the clutch switch and that seemed to have worked for them, I'm just trouble shooting but I dont feel convinced it's the TPS. I could be wrong.

I really doubt that the symptom you described in the first post has to do anything with the TPS. I recommended you a simple test then which remained neglected cos the thread went a bit off topic due to the discussions about diagnostic tools. So you should do that and check for oil in the ECU red plug before going further

The test recommended was to watch live data which I'm going to so hopefully when the foxwell turns up soon!

The res plug is clean that was my first port of call.

It had a new injector harness and injector washers and seal back in 2016 when this happened ECU was sent away to be checked ...according to the service history,

My apologies I forgot to refer to that one, the fuel pump was changed and fuel tank clean I think in 2015, I am hoping it's not, I will give that a check with the multimeter, just a shame only had it less then 2 weeks and it's been off the road with this problem. :(

I dont feel so confident with the TPS diagnosis to be honest, I would t have thought those type of symptoms would attribute to a faulty TPS, may explain why my revs dont drop when changing gear?

I do genuinely love it still though I think it's an amazing machine.

I may try a new actuator modulator I saw someone having similar problems as me and they resolved it with that.

If revs dont drop when you depress the clutch the problem is with the clutch switch or it's circuit... you can check that on live data when you get the scantool

I do appreciate your advice thank you very much.

Is there a thread on information on how to read live data for newbies......asking for a friend haha ;):D

I have to ask why the hawkeye is so much more giving it looks so basic
IMO cos when it first appeared it was the only reliable alternative to LR Testbook main dealer tool at an affordable price and they kept prices high even though they dropped it seriously with the Total version while others addapted themselves better to the market.
