I have a TD5 Defender 110.
I posted a while ago about starting the Landy, and then the accelerator being totally unresponsive.
I have just done a journey for a about 2 hours and the the engine kept dying on me, and the engine management light came on the dash.
Basically, the engine is spluttering and accelerator stops working.
It feels like there is water in the diesel.
I have taken out the MAP sensor and cleaned it.

Any ideas???
Thanks

Thanks chaps.
Where will I find the red plug??
And the crank position sensor??
Would a fault in the above make the engine management light come on??

Red plug is on ECU along with the black plug.
Crank sensor is on top of bell housing.
Both may bring the mill light on.

Ive said before that this happened to our Focus, turned out to be the throttle pedal! Get a diagnostic check done, see which fault codes come up, and go from there!
