Deep joy !!!!

Might be an idea to replace all the studs with the best quality you can find locally and disc-cut through the webs on the exhaust manifold casting before re-installation. This helps to reduce the possibility of warping apparently.

Good luck

I have done it this morning drill and easy out broken stud before replacing all the others hardest bit was getting heat shield off

If you are lucky it might just be the flex joint on the downpipe that's failing, check it for sooting.

I have lost another stud this week so another fix it job

Thought you replaced them all last time? What make did you replace them with? Is yours remapped?

I've lost a stud at the front of the manifold that needs doing but its not whistling yet.

Which stud have you lost this time? An end one?

I'm tempted to open mine out to M10 studs (standard is M8?) as I will be remapping mine too.

Top front this time Tuesdays job I think I suspect it will need machining flat this time

Same one as I've lost.

I'm thinking I'll open out the front and rearmost 2 (4 studs total) as they are the ones that seem to go most often. Then replace the others with new standard size studs.
