You've listed the injector codes.:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::D

We're after the fault codes ya useless bugger. If it was running until the injector seals were done, My money is on it being an incorrectly fitted injector seal... It is only a guess though.

The only other fault that showed up was one for the air flow meter and one for the new coolant temperature sensor that i fitted.
Seals were fitted by the book...Using the special injector removal tool that cost me £130+

What make of diagnostic computer was it plugged into?

PASS...Sorry i was not there.
Dont worry m8...I,ve given up with the motor...I,ll sell it on and let some one else sort it...I,m sure its nothing serious but i,ve just lost all faith in it...Had six Disco,s to date and this one has been the only one that's let me down...
Time too move on...

I'd have had to fix it cos otherwise it'd have bugged the hell outta me.:D

No probs.:)

Just sorry it was to no avail.:(

Hi,
Me again,
Can you tell me if the fuel pump can fail intermittently on the TD5s please??
Beginning to think it may be a fuel pump issue...Can hear it running when purging but the other night we towed vehicle for 3 miles and it fired up twice then died as if starved of fuel.:confused::confused:

Yes it can. It can also go weak which means that you can still hear it running but there isn't enough pressure for it to run or power is restricted.

You really need to get a fuel pressure gauge attached to the vehicle.

Mine was dieing as if starved of fuel too hence going for the pump before the injector washers.

Okay then, thats looking promising..Theres light at the end of the tunnel..:tea::tea::tea:

You should be able to screw a pressure gauge into one of the fixings on the pressure regulator.[/QU

Had a pressure regulator on it today and the pressure is is down by 50% so its the fuel pump. Still gonna let it go. Making me ill just from the worry of it all....Paid £2750 for this motor in August last year...So if i sell it fir £1500 i've lost £1250...Hey ho...I can live with that...
Thanks again m8. Appreciate all the help and advice.:D:D:D

Why not spend the extra £100 on the fuel pump and get the full money back?

It's not like you have to drop the fuel tank out or else cut holes in the floor like you have to on a defender.;):)

Flush the system from both ends.
Coolant only has to drop an inch before you notice temp change.
Head Gasket failure, water does not mix with oil as it does with other vehicles.
When my HG went a lot of vapour came out of the exhaust when I filled header but used it after about two days.
I've got a new one now and it's sweet as a nut.

I know where you're coming from.:(

Gonna sell it and buy a Dagenham donkey...Done my City and Guilds on a 2ltr ford engine...Simplicity in itself.
Thanks again for all your advice...Invaluable me thinks...Cant put a price on knowledge.;););););)
