Re Mapping Hummmmmmmmm on the list of jobs I wanna do and have done... only got the truck afew weeks and still getting use to her at the moment..

he travels all over the country, normally he'll have a few to do in a similar area so it makes it worthwhile for him.

does this guy a specialist in just landrovers? Im not wanting a re-map as i have one i am just interested to know if its only landrovers he does?

He actually does loads of different diesels - just specialises in TD5s. He also does boat engines if you're interested ! Take a look at the dynachip website.

Gone ahead and booked Dynachip as I have not read any negative feedback, so far!
Will be done next Thursday, which will be followed by a trip to Wales to collect my lad from Swansea - looking forward to improved performance.

let us know how it goes owuld be interested to know if you get any black smoke under acceleration as thats a sign of over fuelling

I had a sad experience; the ECU on my 51 plate Discovery Tdi was not the sort they could re-map. So they purchased a new ECU. But what we didn't spot was that the oil from the injector harness had filled the red connector and when the new ECU was fitted, it shorted straight out! I had to pay for a tow to a dealer, then diagnostic to confirm the problem, then another ECU and that new ECU had to be coded to the vehicle before we could attempt the re-map. If you have to change your ECU, check for oil in the connectors, please!

Or buy my td5 disco that allready been and has been de-egr'd!!! Makes a massive difference, though absolutely no top end, just loads of instant low down grunt. You hardly need to touch the accelerator peddle now!

Excuse my ignorence, but what is the EGR valve?

it is a wate of time the person who designed it wants shooting.

its a pipe that runs from your eqaust pipe maifold to an air intake reburning gas not needed also remove your cat to this will give better air flow

I have just had mine disco td5 manual mapped by dynachip on wednesday morning.
I wanted to run it a few days before i talked about it.
Well the service i recieved from mike was first class turned up on time checked the health of my landy including to see if the was oil in injector loom which there wasnt:) and the dreaded air flow meter and mine was all spot on so he cracked on and read my ecu and then swapped it for the later one's that can be flashed.
I must say i really wish i had done this along time ago the car is just perfect now when iam solo it just pulls and pulls and and i am sure you could hit the ton mark quite easy now on a private road:D
In the afternoon i went and got my caravan out of storage and well didnt really notice it on the back.
It will quite happily tow at 40mph in 5 gear pulling 1800kg behind it and hills are now very easily dispatched iam now a gear higher than i would normally be in for said hills:)
So for anyone thinking of getting theres done just do it you wont regret it but just make sure its by someone who knows what there are doing!

I cant agree more, Mike did mine some time back, great difference!

Although within a few weeks i warped my manifold, some say due to the increased pressure?? some say it was going anyway??, none the less reground manifold fitted by JE Eng. in Coventry and bobs ya uncle, effortless power in all gears, LOVE IT !!
