please let us have the details on this, would like to do it to mine.. thanks :D

They are both optional. Id get one with the sls it's fairly cheap to remove if you don't like it!!

if the car comes with air, keep it!! far better than springs and will fail MOT if 7 seats, search forum for more info on this..
just make sure it works, by pressing lift button on dash.. car should rise whilst w/l flashes and bleeps, pressing again brings the back down to normal ride height.
it's not that expensive to repair as long as the compressor is ok.

Fitting the windscreen was dead easy.

First things first, make sure you have the connectors for the windscreen in the engine bay. You'll find them under the scuttle, just open the bonnet, look at where the top of the bulkhead is and you'll see them if they are there. They can't be anything else, one on either side. If you have 'em, then the loom is there and you can fit away.

Get yourself a few quotes on the screen. They'll vary greatly. The worst I got was £891 from Autoglass. I told them that I could get a genuine screen for around £350, but they wouldn't budge. The best quote I got was £197 from National Mobile Windscreens, they had it in stock and the price included VAT and fitting.

Just for info, there are two manufactures that I know of. One is Pilkington, OEM, comes just as the standard LR fit, but without the LR logo, but it's good quality. The other is a company called Nordglass. They are cheaper, but a number of companies told me that they didn't want to deal with them as there are a lot of warranty claims. I can't comment, the £197 one was a Pilkington screen.

Of course, you could always do the insurance thing, but to be honest, for £197 I sleep better at night. I try to be an honest chap when I can get away with it.

Most breakers will be able to let you have the other bits you need.

1. 1 x switch YUG102550 (Ash Grey) for a pre-facelift vehicle YUG000750PUY (Black) for a post-facelift vehicle
2. 1 x relay
3.2 x fuses (although mine were already in place)

It took less than five minutes to put the switch and the relay in. The only thing you will then need to do, is to find a nice person with either a Nanocom or a Hawkeye to tell the BCU that the screen is there and all is done.

Easy job and probably the best thing I have done to her.
