When I'm trying to fill up its backing up and causing the nozzle to stop filling.

I'm having to trickle it in and it's taking me 10 mins to fill up.

I'm guessing its the breather maybe?

Anyone suggest anything to start looking at first?

Have you made sure the diesel pump nozzle is fully in the tank? First time I ever put fuel in my Disco 2 it took ages. Second time I pushed the nozzle fully home and £60 went in rather quickly  :D

+1 on the above, amazing the difference. Make sure the nozzle is right in all the way up to the hilt.

(Don't know how a bag of popcorn would help though!)

if no joy with the nozzle fully in it means that the air vent pipe of the filler tube is clogged/burked...nr 3 in pic
