My brake light is permanently on.
Handbrake switch is good so to is the fluid level switch.
RAVE only shows 2 circuits for this lamp, however I have seen from an old post that this isn't the case.
Any guidance is greatly appreciated 🙏

So are all the ABS related warning lamps working on ignition self test as they should? Do you have a nanocom or similar?

Also what's the history of this fault? did it appear just like that out of nowhere or how? this is important

check headers

Go with nanocom in SLABS outputs and try the "Off" command for the "brake light"... if it goes out we'll speak then, for now you should not fiddle with headers untill we dont know exactly what's going on... if no joy with nanocom take a wire with a 1A fuse on it, connect it to the battery positive lead, unplug the reservoir's switch and give +12V with the fused wire into the connector to pink/orange wire... according to the result we'll speak again

Tried the off command but no joy.
Will try the 12v to the reservoir, but the two wires I have are black and brown.
Brown could be a very old and discoloured pink and orange 😃

ALSO make sure that the handbrake is not on or it's plug is disconnected when you feed the reservoir's wire cos then the fuse will blow for sure!!!

Handbrake off
Reservoir disconnected
12v+ applied to pink and orange wire
Fuse remains intact
Brake warning light remains on. 👍

OK, strange fault you have there... at this point you have to get to the instrument pack's connector C0230 pin 10(same pink/orange wire), let the handbrake off and fluid reservoir unplugged and give that fused +12V into that wire with a needle ...if the warning light doesnt go out this way the problem is within the instrument pack but to be 100% certain unpin that wire and give the positive feed directly to that pin as to feed the warning lamp... if the light goes out we'll speak again

Thank you, will get to that today👍

OK have applied 12v+ to pink and orange wire and light stays on.
The pink and orange wire was already showing 12v.
About to un pin the wire as you suggest and apply 12v but as it already shows 12v I'm not holding up much hope.
I will try it though, thank you
