Looks interesting, i wonder how it works with a non OBDII fully compliant TD5 engine in the D2.

On my TD5 2003 it does everything from injector coding and component activations / test (EGR,FUEL PUMP, ABS, etc) to main ECU live data and flight recording. I am still learning, but I can graph several things at once, air temp, fuel temp, MAP MAF ATS etc very useful.
EG graphing all 5 injector balances at same time is very helpful!

It has two systems, either via OBD i/ii or via its own ISS system which does more than ODB, its a professional tool not really aimed at the home mechanic etc. It runs on the same system as Autocom and is very similar to WURTH's WOW etc
I am told I can get plug ins for it to design custom maps etc
It costs about £2.5K
I'll just happy I have plugged it in to the defender and started reading stuff!

Terrafirma Stainless Steel Braided front brake hoses fitted today, so of course need new 'flexi' metal pipes to callipers what a surprise!
Was lucky to get away with them when I fitted new calipers and vented discs a couple of years ago.
Fitted new bleed nipples and covers while I was in there.

Not paying for the pipes (best part of £60 for the pair) stupid money, finally got an excuse now to get a flaring tool and make my own, done it before with a poxy metal block thing for the triumphs years ago, never again going to get a proper tool with the correct lasts / moulding block things.
Its a given I am going to have the same drama for rear, and no doubt the clutch slave all of which are on my to do list.
So copper / kunifer / steel? FFS I guess its time to hit the batphone and call the human LR google that is @jamesmartin :p;)

Some people swear by the kunifer but I've always bought the cheapest copper stuff, no problems. Worth getting a good stack of nuts, surprising how quick you go through them.
The flares you mention sound right from memory, I normally dismantle then copy
 
Bare metal prep and rust treatment to tow bar assembly, sunbaked! ready for textured top coat tomorrow.
Let them cure in workshop for two hours then pop into metal box and leave in the sun, perfect oven bake!
Just finished final prep coat, top coat tomorrow.

Write up from above pics, refuse to pay £30 EACH for new brake pipes.:mad::mad: **** takers.

So made up my own new brake lines, Caliper to Flexi. 3/16 in Kunifer (Cupro / Nickel)
Had not used Kunfier before always used copper, but did notice the difference much stiffer when flaring.
Replaced the Fexi's with Stainless steel braided hoses, with new stainless bleed nipples* and covers for callipers (*lubed of course)
Bled up perfectly no trouble, used Brembo 5.1 fluid, did a full front flush, rears still to do.

Front flexi to calliper Pipes were very corroded, good news is the main pipes from brake valve / master cylinder ok for now but will be replacing sooner or later.

Also noticed my clutch fluid needs changing, (to say the least see the reading on fluid tester) so making up new clutch line from flexi to slave cylinder in 1/4 kunifer, will be replacing salve cylinder and all fluid at same time.

Ive just done a full brake component change on my D1 project & also used the 5.1 fluid as I use this in all my
other toys :D
 
FFS........Fuel tank leak. :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Had a goosey, coming from top O/S Middle, so had a grindy, found it! Fuel tank breather 1inch split.:mad:

Replacing with ISO7840 fuel hose, metal braided / strengthened internal diameter 19mm.

I understand ESR4290 splits just like my one has after 3 years or so.

Now I stink of diesel and so does the dog who came out to see what I was doin, and got a splosh on her back, just at the wrong moment, going to try to get both of us in the wet room and showered before the mrs comes back from shopping :D:D

Yep split both ends! And the twunt who put it on put the jubilee 2cm from a bulkhead brace, ****!
I know the tank has been out by previous owner, so no excuses, he's gone and fitted the jube, with no thought to access later dopey cnut, 180 flip would have been fine. Done now after much swearing and dreaming of poking hot pins into him, feel better now job done.
Just got to wait for pipe, so cut fingers off vinyl gloves for temp stoppers.

LOL, love a rant! you should have heard me when I used to triumphs, the amount of times I wished I could meet the designer so I could open hand slap him hard across his stupid face!

Just look at the pic with mirror in showing the spit you can see the jube in that, they dont make stubby screwdrivers that small
 
Breather fitted simples.
Changing fuel tank support / guard what a major foooknuckle PIA.
Done now all good.
 
Just popped a 5 mm sheet of ali plate over hole, used some rtv to seal.
had to use a 110v stepper to weigh it down, all done
Gave the ali sheet a dust with Upol etch primer and then matt black not that it needed it but i fell better now.
Did not have much time to play today with Landy, as had to do work on my daily driver for work next week.
x2 wishbones
x2 sway bars
x2 bottom ball joints
x2 cv = x 1 drive shaft on my DSG caddy, smashed me finger, took all day, but otherwise all done.
The old CV gearbox end just fell apart, it was totally FUBAR.
Also had help from Luna she is 13.5 and sleeps most of the time, so it was a nice surprise to see her lumber into the garbage and demand some attention by pawing at my feet while i was under car.
