And this for added spice and smashed knuckles as if the above was not enough....

Yep, the rears bascially get wet grit blasted as you drive lol
I was chatting to Gwyn, and he asked if i had seen it on his site when i was putting the order together, he pointed me to his you tube vid, made sense so i bought for the rears, so got it again for the fronts, its VERY thick stuff. very happy.

3 hrs, done and done. Spring plates and turrets in amazing condition, galvanised really impressed, I do remember fitting them, was 2012 so they have done very well, just did not think i bought galv. I put terrafookwits bagosheit shocks on 2 years ago, they loook like a fiat that was parked by the seaside, aka rusted to fook.

Old seal was spanked and the hose was cracking.
Easy job actually no huffing and puffing with new pipe was very soft, left in the sun while i cleaned the filler neck thingy.

Morning brake bleed and viola some bubbles as suspected, always best bleed n wait a bit n bleed again. Re torqued everything as well. Off to the shops now for supplies.
I now have a 'renault' pedal for those of you that are unfamilier with the term it means rock hard!!!!

Nice work! Looking good!

I had similar issues with my 90 & 110 re brakes. Ended up being a shagged caliper and one time a brand new master just gave a rock solid pedal! Swapped it back no issue.

What’s the verdict on the ome gear then?
I should have bought OME all round years ago, ride is spot on what i wanted, firm sure footed but not too harsh perfect, my mate was in it today for hr or so he sais he was suprised felt like a car, compared to the boat it was before, i have around 1km of dirt track to my house with big pot holes, we gassed it along there, managed to get to a speed where it just flew over it, bit like a boat when you get it to plane and have it trimmed right, he was shocked!
same with the Gwyn Lewis stuff drop arm and turrets cheers to @bankz5152 for switching me on to the disco drop arm, so sick of that stupid balljoint etc)

Yeah I had the Gwyn sumo and d1 drop arm. I’m going to follow suit and get the shocks and dampener set for my disco when the times nearer. I had the steering dampener on the defender and it was decent. It’s built properly.

I’ll leave the terrafirma ****e that’s currently on there at the front gate for the scrap man!

Fancy looking discs, do they offer any advantage or just different styling?
EBC pads?
