Hope you can help folks,

Bought my Td5 a couple of weeks ago. The guy selling it to me replaced the steel wheels and tyres which were small ish (205/80/16???) with new steels and Michelin latitudes 7.5/16.

My question is... any way I can find out what the speedo/odo is calibrated for OR what the orig factory size was? The new tyres are much larger and - following bodged calculations - would make for approx 9% difference in speedo reading / odo.

Thanks :)

Tim

On steel rims the 90 was fitted with 205/80/16 tyres. On the optional alloys, they were fitted with 235/70/16 tyres. In terms of tyre diameter both sizes are virtually identical, there is less than 1% difference. The difference between the original tyres and the 7.50/16's is about 9.6%
