Hi, first post for me.... I have a 2005 freelander Td4, it has an issue that has me baffled, it had a synergy 2 box on it, and when it started it ran rough and smoked, so i took it off, i put the correct maf sensor back on, new cam sensor, and crank sensor, then changed the injectors for known good ones, now it starts a dream, but.... take it over 1500rpm and it give a slight misfire and smokes like a train, white smoke... let it calm down and it stops, but as soon as you rev it it smokes.
i dont have a diagnostics tester, but i don't have any lights on either... any clues as to what to do next?
thanks

is the MAF sensor a Bosch one? have you tried it with the MAF unplugged, the engine will run on default values OK and a faulty MAF will not show a fault light on the dash ,the white smoke is unburnt fuel

it is a bosch type and i have not tried it with it off, will do tomorrow... thanks

Unburnt fuel, if injectors are good, can come from the high pressure pump if the seals have gone.
The diesel vapour goes into the crankcase and is expelled as unburnt fuel through the exhaust.

Had this once, there is a risk of 'diesel runaway' if this becomes excessive so look out and be prepared to stall the engine if it goes off on one !!!
