Got an 02 TD4 with 100k on the clock and is starting to be a right bitch! Had all this since Christmas...
1 - Bad engine bay fuel leak found to be steel fuel pipe assembly feeding high pressure pump.
2 - Loss of power and whistling noise found to be split turbo hose, replaced all three.
3 - Engine quit whilst driving with management light on. Fault code low primary fuel pressure due to failed 'in-tank' pump.
4 - Intermittent no start when engine warm, no warning light. After searching this forum replaced cam sensor, no further starting problems.
5 - Now got a loud vibration from engine bay fuel pump but engine runs OK. Is this a sign that this pump too is failing or is it a filter problem?
