You can now buy an egr bypass pipe from
d.lyon33@hotmail.co.uk.

Jointly developed by Dave and yours truly, it is a quick bolt on job and offers the following advantages:

No more crud build up on the assembly
Reduced smoke, especially on tuned engines
More power thanks to much better airflow.

Price £49.50 delivered direct from Dave.

(Another company has been selling these for the TD5 Landrovers for £55)

Also fits the 75/ZT/BMW 320D

I have been using one on my 75,as have a ZT owner and a BMW 320d owner so we can vouch for the effectiveness.

whot do it do. . . . ron ron da do ron ron. . . . .:)
Well you must have seen how much gunge accumulates on the egr valve innards and how big an obstruction to the airlfow the valve mechanism is.

There are photos on my website here:

75ZT HOME

So the bypass is an egr lookalike, but with the exhaust supply blanked off and a smooth unobstructed path for the intake air. Its a direct & reversible swap. Also fits the 320D, 75/ZT.

So no more gunge and much better airflow.
This liberates a bit more torque by improving the combustion and reducing smoke as a result.

Apparently another company has been doing them for the TD5s (for £55) with similar benefits.

£49.50!!!!!! Just pull the vacuum pipe off and plug it.... totally free

You've missed the point.

We aren't talking about disabling the egr valve, we all know how to do that.
We're talking about removing the obstruction that the egr valve mechanism presents to the air flow with obvious and proven benefits over and above what disabling it offers.

ffs heidi, calm down clutchie, old ron has got to make a living since they sacked him from eastenders ;)

If you have don't wear it near yella. his eyesights not as good as it was an he might mistake you for a sheep.

Photo of the egr pipe.

As you can see, a lot of work goes into making them.
75/Zt owners who have been fitting them this wekend have all said the improvement is noticeable, wiht more torque and reduced or eliminated smoke with a Tu3 or Synergy on max.
