Hi Pals.
I have a much loved Freelander with a long running problem. Having looked through the search/ archive I have tried to solve this by fitting a new MAF Sensor and then a Turbo solenoid at the back of the engine. It has a EGR Bypass fitted and the pipe work is blocked to stop that duck call effect when shutting down as recommended by this Forum. The problem is that on long hill runs, either motorway or road it quiet quickly runs out of steam and pressing the throttle to the floor makes no difference at all. No warning lights come on and once passed the incline things return back to normal. On the flat, it's back to normal. It will accelerate no problem, In very cold weather it can be a bit smokey and run not at it's best for a minute, but thats it. At 118.000mls and having been serviced by myself every year using fully Synth and only doing 5thou a year, I would welcome any help.
Don't want to part really, with what has been a really good Motor for the last near Ten years.
Thanks in advance for you time and advice.
Cheers
