Can anyone recommend a decent tap & die set...

Having recently struggled with a cheap and nasty one whilst drilling & rethreading a sheared bolt I think I need to invest in something stronger & more precise!

It's for DIY use so price is an isue but not everything...

Go for high speed steel (HSS). Stronger than Carbon Steel and much sharper.

Snap-on , Britool or Mac I would have thought but you need the cash for them!

Oh and Dormer are the ones I use which are good and Presto are not quite as good but ok!
