Firstly, let's not worry about the 'do you need one' argument, I do.
I know a few people have done this - I have an analogue tachograph to fit to my 04 disco 2.
There are some grounds, a permanent live and an ignition live - I reckon I can manage that lot from the body and fuse box. What I'm not sure about is:
a) I need to tap a wire that's live only when the lights are on - is there an easily accessible one?
b) I need to tap a signal from the ODB - does anyone know *which* ODB wire that is likely to be?
Then I need to figure out where it's going...
