I see in my future that i will be sticking my head inside my RR trying to find out if i have a WABCO D system or not.
1999 and on ALL had 4 wheel TC and WABCO D system..
In theory you're right but there was a large batch of 99 4.0s with rear wheel-only TC as LR used up their glut of two pin front diffs.
4 pin is much stronger ,2 pin has single shaft through an open diff carrier 4 pin has 2 shafts through solid case diff carrier ,though in normal use 4 pin isnt necessary

Thought the four pin diffs were only fitted to the front on 4.6 with 4 TC.
