Hello.

This morning I fitted a Synergy 2. Well, the improvement has been huge with mafam ON, and especially with program 10.

After 20 minutes driving, while accelerated until 3.500 rpm, engine warning light turned on, and the engine started making a lot of diesel clonk, and bad working. I turned off engine, removed the key, waited for 10 seconds and started engine again, then engine light gone in idle, but after accelerating, engine light turned ON again.

The situation has worsened progressively and now its doing this all the time. When I'm driving, often the light turns on, and the car looses all the power, and if I continue accelerating, the engine dies, as if out of fuel. I have to turn the ignition off with the key, and when I turn on again light dissapears.

First, this did not happen when I turned OFF the power switch of Synergy 2, but now is happening all the time.

Even now, I disassembled completely the Synergy 2, but also fails.

Fails with Bosch Maf, Pierburg Maf, and with Maf disconnected.

So, it is clear that something messed up when I fitted Synergy 2, but what??

I did all this in less than 2.000 miles:

-Crankcase breather
-EGR Bypass
-Cleaned Intake Manifold
-4 injectors
-Fuel filter, air filter, oil filter, and engine oil.

Please help!!

Hi.

I tried both, Bosch and Pierburg, but the problem remains.

But im almost sure that is not a Maf problem.

Regards.

Hi been running mine since january with synergy 2e plus a pierburg maf touch wood its been fine looks like a fault code reader job for yours keep us informed i j

Hi i had the same problem, but i purchased one off ebay, sent it back and got a new one from rover ron the new one as never faulted. The only thing i could put it down to was a fault component in the synergy unit. as for yours still cutting out after the unit as been remove i would double check all your connections including a possible broken wire on the maf side. if it was the high pressure sensor it would still run but in limp mode. I am sure some other peeps will advice you better.

ok at a guess youve disturbed the plug at the end of your fuel rail. Its fairly common for the plug to green up. My one got so bad I had to change the small loom that included this plug at a cost of approx £40 from LR. Its not difficult

good luck

Dave

Hi.

What were the symptoms of your faulty plug?

Thanks. Regards.

Definitely check all the simple stuff like connectors etc. & make sure your intercooler pipes are in good condition. Next is a check of the injectors as any failing ones will definitely give trouble when the synergy unit starts to work them.

New turbo solenoid and rear fuel pump fitted. Problem remains.

Land Rover stealer says there are 90% chances that the problem is the high pressure fuel pump.

Also the diagnostics show one injector clogged (remember, with 2500 miles).

I have had around 12 cars, and this is by far the worst! A fu****g ruin.
