Does the obd just unclip ? And if so do I have to take glovebox out ?
No just drop the panel below it.

Is that the black tray the obd is in ? How do you get it off ?
Take the push in clips and a couple of screws out.

Just unscrew things til it drops off, then stop unscrewing things. If you are asking such questions it worries me what you are going to do if you find something wrong with the OBDII connector.

I won't be doing nothing with it but the problem is my passenger door won't open so I would rather have all the info I can before I start the job as I don't want to be on my back in the footwell all day

right ive taken the undertray off and looked at the obd and everything seems normal checked the plugs behind the plastic in footwell they seem fine too wires seem ok is there anywhere else i need to check ?
