I have bought some 250693 bolts which from my parts list should be the right bolts to fit on the bracket which holds that big seal that goes over the swivel housing. but they don't fit.
i can't find any bolts that do fit in my collection.
I have cleaned out any muck from the holes, and the threads look in good condition. It feels like i could force my 250693 in the threads, but I am pretty sure they are not the right bolts. i have tried a number of the holes and it feels the same on all of them.
Can anyone point me in the right direction for which bolts (size, thread etc) are the right ones or am i missing something?
thanks

Yes, I'm pretty sure they're UNF (if not metric) just didn't want to put it in writing!
Careless talk costs Lives! :D

But what I was getting round to was that this is the likely cause of the difficulty OP has in screwing in the bolts. Metric Threads in a UNF Hole, so to speak.
