well im working on my next little project, basically wanting a swing away arm for a disco but obv cant swing it off a thin ally outer panel so planning something for my custom bumper.
Now iv seen these 2 sites, both american and both work out at £100ish to get them (bit dear if u ask me)

so can i get anything similar in the UK?
iv toyed with the idea of a spindle from car, landy/mini etc but qould struggle with outer casing.
also toyed with not having bearing and having solid inner tube with a 5mm walled outer casing, leaving a .5mm gap between to make a pivot,
so any idea, any body done one on a disco?

what better mods?

want a spare (33") dont want weigh on back door, dont have boot spacem and not a chance i can lift it on roof.

Just out if interest why not the weight on the back door? I have a spare steel wheel with a 265/75/16 insa turbo on it and iv never had a problem.

seems alot of weight for the hinges, plus il be shoving the HIlift and other bits and bats on it.

Fair enough. Could probably get a "hinge" type mechanism made pretty cheaply here by any decent blacksmiths. It might be worth looking into getting a custom rear bumper fabricated which it could be mounted onto.

already got a custom bumper making another aswell now for rear winch once my fuel tanks out the way
