Hmmmmmm, have to say that i don't think that i would want to drive a Notsostylish Pyjama.......bit naff......but most of them are working better than my broke truck!!!

A TDi 300 Disco should give you about 30mpg - 3ltr V6 petrol Pajero will be lucky to give you 20mpg.

I think all this anti-Japanese 4x4 talk is a bit silly really. We are LR enthusiasts and that's fine and we are proud of our vehicles.

But just for one second have a look at the bigger picture. In the 60' & 70's LR were used around the world in every corner. Then the Jap vehicles started to become available, the Mitsubishi Shogun, the Toyota Landcruiser and the Nissan Patrol.

Nowadays when you visit far-flung places such as Africa, the Middle East etc what do you see? Toyota Landcruiser 90% the other 10% is made up of the other 2 I mentioned. No Land Rovers.

Now why is that? Is it because the competition is cheaper - No!

It's definitely not because they are crap, now is it?

The Japanese models may not be your or my cup of tea, but we make ourselves look foolish if the only comment we offer is "They're crap !!" because they are not.
