I’ve got a D3 and must admit it doesn’t wallow nor excessively leans when going round corners , sitting at 70mph down the motorway it remains very well planted and doesn’t wander

have u checked ur ride height in normal mode plse, tyre pressure , what ur tread is like, are they all the same plse , then looked at all ur wishbone bushings for any wear

also what size tyres are u currently running plse

It's simple, you have the wrong vehicle. Not sure an SVR engine will solve this issue either.... or any 4x4 tbh. :rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:
 
D4 has a good reputation for road manners in everything I've read. I've only driven one a couple of times and was impressed, much superior to my D2.

D3/4 ride well due to full independent suspension. But they do lean and wallow more. They don’t use ACE. The same year RRS has it on some models, but it’s called Dynamic handling or something. But largely the same tech as ACE.

Some do, I have been in a non leany one.

It's a 6ft tall, 2.7 ton chunk of steel, with some leather and plastic thrown in.
It's not designed to be sporty, it's designed to be comfortable.
You could fit stiffer bushes and shocks, but other than that, there's not much more you can do.
 
Nonsense. I’ve been in plenty of others that are equally comfy - in fact comfier and less travel sick feel - despite weighing and measuring much the same.

what’s you issue with me looking to improve, in my opinion, my vehicle to better suit my needs?
 
Must admit before I started to do work on mine it did wallow

However after fitting new worn out front struts and rear upper wishbones then finally a Hunter wheel alignment it drives extremely nicely , all the leaning and wallowing has gone , of course driving it sensibly and not chucking it round corners

It’s the most comfortable motor I’ve had so far and extremely impressed , even at motorway speeds it remains well planted

at the end of the day and from experience these motors must be kept fully maintained , particularly on the suspension and brakes due to them being such a heavy motor they do wear out these components quicker than ur average vehicle

plus ensuring parts are either genuine or quality Oem , personally any parts on the engine , brakes and suspension wishbones I’ve fitted genuine

Nothing wrong with improving it, but turning it into something it was never designed to be is something completely different.

Why not just buy a RRS SVR, it'll cost less, and is designed to take the power. ;)

You seem to have taken issue with this idea too. I find your input unhelpful and not in the spirit of things. With 26,000 posts there's perhaps not better things to do.

What year is the car?

14 reg. 90k miles. Of course it'll be a bit slacker than it used to be however I recall this feeling from day one at 20k miles when I bought it.

As with all my vehicles - some of which at the extreme opposite of this in performance - I like to investigate and upgrade the elements that I don't enjoy. To renew as oem I'm sure will improve somewhat but I'm looking for something beyond that. For example I've seen as many Defenders with different parts on show such as big yellow anti roll bars and have assumed the owner has done so for good reason. I'm hoping for the same inspiration here for the Discovery.
