Isnt it EU law that pump drizzle has to have a 7% bio minimum ? And did it not contain even 3% under the labour admin but now moved into line with our lovely shiney "new" lot ? AS a massively broad generlisation ?
I think the vehicle maker rec's were made as a cover all against litigation when bio was being made in a much less regulated and (ahem !) refined manner . Whereas now , "big-oil inc" are in on the manufacture. As I understood it.
A bigger issue is the increasing algal infestation of mineral/bio pump fuel. Way back when I was working in a indy LR place,10 plus years ago, the boss showed me this fuel conditioner that got rid of the algae......"what algae?" says I, never having heard or seen such. Now , if we leave our tractors or diggers more than a week unused there is such a build up that the engines wont run. Even using SolTron additive we get it to a lesser extent . I havent noticed it in engines run with WVO/petrol mix used with the drizzle,ad hoc. Strange, that .
Another thread, maybe , as this is a connected issue but not strictly the OPs point.
