Need a piece of software/hardware to reset this setting on the BeCM, one quick trick to reset the whole BeCM is to disconnect the battery, following official procedure, wait 30 minutes and reconnect. This allows the BeCM to lose all battery power and resets on startup. If this fault is new then will work fine.

Or it will introduce some new and unexpected fault:doh:

Great!! Another trip to the Indy Specialist then. Last time he was there he jokingly suggested I buy a Testbook. It would seem P38s should have come with one as part of the tool kit.

We don't ask for your location 'cos we're coming round to nick your motor, it's because someone local may be able to give you a dig out and save you some time & money.

I know "TAKdriver" has a Faultmate and some software modules. May be worth sending him a PM. He's based in Midlothian area.

Addendum to this: At the same time the NSR side light blew and the trip computer no longer works. I assume this is all related. Probably to the bulb going.
