Hi , does anyone know of a place where i can take my freelander to within a reasonable distance from Milton Keynes , where they fix the electric sunroof . The previous owner has removed the switch and the garage i bought it from said they didnt replace it because of the problems with the roof runners. I know they can go any time and you can be left with an open roof .
Thanks in advance.

My sunroof is also a non worker apparently the fuse has been removed, however I find with the back window open I don't really need it :D

Its a very simple job to get it out ,3 screws on either side and disconnect the drain pipes iirc .First though ,you have to remove the roof lining and thats a few hour job because you have to remove quite a bit of trim .

A new sunroof cartridge costs silly money ,I think €600+ from dealers . My rails were rusted and knackered beyond repair ,so I disconnected the wire to the sr motor ,by removing the interior light to gain access .

I agree about the rear window , went for a drive today and with it open who needs aircon or a sunroof, when they are open it only cooks your head !

Have to agree, with the tailgate open and a front window down, you get a nice quiet flow of air through the car. Brilliant!
