Hi All

I've just bought one of these to fit behind my middle seat

Sub with built in amp

Just wondered how anyone else had cabled to their cubby box from the head unit? is there a good route?

Trying to save a bit of time and taking apart of the whole dash if there is a straight froward route.

it's a 300 tdi 90 M plate

Thanks :)

Did similar thing in the Def 90.

I didn't feel the need to take the dash apart, just ran the speaker pair off the left from the CD housing. It tucked nicely under the lip of the dash tray all long until it go to the end.

Wrapped a bit of black tape round it and fed it up to the strut. This was the only bit of plastic I removed.

Once up the roof space. Pulled out a couple of the head lining pins till it was into the cab space, then down the back of the seat belt strut, over the bulkhead and then along to the cubby box ( instead of seat )

I ran mine down the little hole in the dash that the wiring for the fag lighter comes through, into the fusebox (behind the cover) then under the rubber transmission tunnel cover then down the side of my cubby box, keeps it all out the way and pretty tidy.

Getting it through the hole in the dash and down to the fusebox just needs a long length of wire poking through then tape the cable to the end and pull it back out again.

It would be interesting to know how one of these discrete subs sound in a 90.....keep us posted please :D

will do

if I remember i'll try and take some pics..

I'm not after the chavy boom boom scare the crap out of the neighbours, just want to listen to decent tunes.

Dont listen in a car then - it must be the worst posible acoustic environment going

ok then I should have written: would like to listen to music at some acceptable level to me whilst not taking up much room the 90 and on some sort of realistic budget...:p

nice pics series
