Well we have ended our adventure for the night. We are all off the mountain safe and sound. Honda is staying the night up there again lol
A very special thanks to all that helped and those who offered.
Il let you know how tomorrow goes

im not sure asking people to drag vehicles off lanes at this time of year is a good idea, unless they are highly experienced with the correct gear
much better to pay a local farmer if possible, they have the experience and kit

Are the other vehicles still stranded as well?

Are the FB contacts returning in the morning?

Did @Pillar and @Grem get hold of you?

I have to say. Thats the first. And last time i go there blind without knowing the full sp. That was totally ****ing dangerous. Its not even a lane lucky a top bloke with a pajero with winch and my mate with his equipment for racing came down as i nearly lost my truck down a slippery bankment .but thanks to all including me. Planning and gentle recovery with both winches and ground anchors we got both landies off as for the honda crv. Well youll need a 4 wheel drive tractor when the weather gets better.

All vehicles are down except mine and everyone is safe. We completely under estimated the terrain
Sorry everyone bur I have to get some sleep, was a heavy day
Thank you to Brian Alan Paul and Andrew
Once again

Thanks for letting us know the full situation and that you're safely off!

I would be a complete arse if I didn't. ....I just hope I get to return the favour
As Alan said, his mate was absolutely fantastic. I would definitely say that he saved the day

I'm home safely too. It a shame we had to leave the CR-V where it was.
Bit of a trial really. I'll post my pics tomorrow, just want a cuppa right now

What do you mean "we"?
I thought that if a CR-V could go there, so could a Landy. Getting there was the easy bit .... relatively.

I do think that the terrain. When you went there on christmas day was ok is but since then weve had a thaw and lots of rain .

Yeah, even the bits that were supposed to be dry, like the brush at the sided of the "track" was wet. My ankle held up OK until I got home and got out of the Disco.
My God, it was a tad painful and over I went. Managed to pull my self upright and the bloke next door happened to see me and loaned my one of his crutches.
So, it's Pain killers, Coffee and some Arnica rub before I turn in.

At least people are safe. Doesn't look much from the picture, and looks like he at least fell off the road the right side or it might have been a different situation.

No more info from OP or our guys
Update..... just seen the posts above.
Will see if anything on FB.
