not to hijack the thread ;) but i notice you can get 12v heating wire cable that would draw 15A. So you could run it 10+ hours off a 160ah battery.. maybe even add a pv panel..

Well ya bugger. you made me sell the disco and get a 110. Now need to sort out storage in the back. But as it's a Van body need to be able to access all the way to the back??? mmm what to do??

have a idea for a double row of drawers with the rearmost drawers dropping down as they're pulled clear, and "dragging the 2nd drawer out of the back of the vehicle?? or at least clear enough to allow access.

Whether I'll get round to it. Is anyone's guess.

I would put a mini bulkhead cut from a sheet of ally across at halfway point just to top of wheel arch. Then a full sheet over and a hinged section to lift for the front and make a drawer that slides out for the back. Would then have a permanent flatbed for sleeping and stashing bedding or whatever in. Back drawer for tools maybe. Racking up one side.

shouldn't need much storage for tools, most builders just have a spade and a hammer most jobs can be done with them;)

Saw how you lined yours. I am going to do similar this year and pack it in real tight then spray and put neoprene cloth and tuck into the edges. My foam is 15mm thick :)

If you need anything for your fit out let me know.

how about buying 10 of those zippo lighter fluid hand warmers and strap em to your body :D :p :D

Added some insulation to reduce the condensation....a bit

I've used Jablite insulation in mine, & used Foil tape to seal the joints. Still get condensation on the tape. But nothing major to worry about.

Not sure that the condensation can ever be totally prevented but I'll keep insulating as much as I can. I'm altering the drawer this weekend...............

Well after travelling around France for three weeks last year we decided that the rear cupboard, behind the drawer, was pretty useless. We decided that the drawer would be better suited if it was moved as far back as possible. In addition, another shelf, in line with the rear windows should be added - this would form the basis of a rear bed for the future.

Phase 1 - move drawer back

Phase 2 - make side panels (two weeks time)

Phase 3 - make shelf (Easter time)

Phase 4 (ten years away!!!!) - remove 2nd row seat and make bed

The standard water container will need to be replaced by one that will fit between the drawer and shelf - anyone know of one?
