Thanks for taking an interest johnny you do see some incredible sites! From the brilliantly clean upped and left to the years of nature taking over, there is so much out there!
what really interests me is when yer come across the remains of an old vehicle hidden in a farmers hedgerow out in the middle of nowhere its rather akin to that documentary last night (the elephant life after death) same as a dead animal can feed others a dumped vehicle gets pillaged to keep others on the road and as a result it can be seen years later
but wondering round old buildings that havent been used or touched for decades and seeing how they turn out also amazes me especialy if its an old farmhouse or the likes and you can almost read the houses lifespan such as holes in floorboards where the bathroom used to be versus where it actualy is and past repairs done to combat rot and insect infestation
thing is i aint done anything like that since i turned 16 coz i could be prosecuted at that age but if your a minor its a slapped wrist and taken to mum n dad for a bollocking
wouldnt mind getting back into it though
its also great later on in life when you see someone rebuilding one of these buildings to itsa original status and you can help by telling them what it was like when you went into it decades before such as this building
i showed the fella running that site exactly where all the stone mouldings were from round the front door
in an old mill further down the lane that i also used to visit
even got a mention of thanks in the local paper for me help
