Sounds about right and the q plate doesn't make it harder to insure either does it:doh:

I know of a series 2 and it has sat at least 25 years in a car port-but it's going to be restored(my arse)

it dont bother me much i just might spend the summer gerrin as much cash as i can and get a roadworthy one if i can at the end of summer but i aint payin a grand for a non runner thats just chucking money away

hard lines johnny - keep looking mate one will turn up somewhere along the lines...
you can have mine for £3000 (as it stands now (take a look at pics)) lol - it was once looked at by general monty, and prince charles once mentioned series 3 in some conversation somewhere with someone.....

I think he was asking a bit much, like you say, it will still be there if you go back in a few months.

bah :( That's kinda ****. Saying that, since the Snow chaos, every **** seems to be either buying or selling at insane prices. Thing that ****es me orf is that after dicks decide that a 4x4 ain't for them, they've fooked it, or decided to inflate the price even more >:/

look on ebay .....the price of scrappers has doubled since last summer.

Correct our view is that people know when they have sold all there stuff-nothing left to sell.

Nobody wants to spend money and yet they want top money for junk-drive out of area and things are lot cheaper=madness

'It seems to have been rebuilt bout 10 years ago meaning its on a newish chassis which is rock solid the bulkhead is solid'

'The engine runs sweet as a nut for a 2.25 diesel and looks to have been rebuilt with the new chassis'

'The only rust i can find is on the exhaust and the front bumper ends'

' Have it on verry good authority that this is the one that was on the programme (last of the summer wine)'

'Nice find that JC, I'm a bit jealous really, owning Wesleys land rover is second only to owning Fred Dibnahs'

Sorry i'm new to LR's, but from some of the the rubbish that gets sold unseen on ebay in ridiculous runaway auctions baffles me, surely a bag o sand for a running series on a good chassis with last of the summer wine provenance isn't so out there. A few squirts of WD and that'll be flying again.

my gripe is all along hes been harping on about selling it to a scrap merchant (will only get £200 max for it ) therefore i had the intentions of matching or if nesecary beating that price up to my maximum £600 wich is fair for one that runs maybee on a decent chassis fooked footwells and a siezed solid clutch brakes and possibly axles aswell (needs atleast a chassis u rebuild

i guess yer forum name says it all :mad::mad:
