why woulod you want to put the spare wheel on the bonnet of a fookin gaylander
Aint a lot of room in the glove box
Normally take an extra spare when off road/green lanin....not a lot of room inside when all the other kit (camping..kids...recovery etc) is in and wont fit it in my garage with a roofrack or anything that goes past rails...Just after practical solutions to problem....
Take an inner tube mate, un if yer have all the kit then the highlift will break the bead, pull the tubless valve out and slip the inner tube in.
Two tyre levers un a pump shud be easier than another wheel, or two cans of tyre weld un a pump. If I can get a truck tyre orf then yer gona get one side orf ter get a tube in.
Oh un if yer goin across water like the plonkers in tuther thread then the tube will be usefull fur that swell
Good pointer DEE, but tyre levers at the trackside sounds like broken knuckles to me.
The clam shell bonnet is heavy enough without the extra weight.
Plus its one of the best features, a wheel would look Naff.
Stick another spare upright in the boot or bolt it to the existing spare.

How about mounting the second one beside the original on the back? Attach it via to the chassis and mount the regestration plate on one of the wheels instead.
what yer gotta bear in mind is that the series et al wot had the spare mounted on the bonnet also had a strenghten bonnet to take the weight of sed wheel, i also have me doubts whether yer visiblility would be any good with a wheel on yer gaylander bonnet, mind you it would probably collapse till it wur resting on the injun so yer visibility might not be so bad after allCan always add some lift assisters...tailgate type things
Cheers so far keep em coming.....Anyone know the legalities.????
(also often drag a trailer along with the bike rack)
