Got a very high pitched squeal when turning, usually on full lock but now its happening sometimes when I slightly turn the wheel when stationary when trying to park in tight space for instance.
Checked power steering fluid and it is OK, had all new bels fitted about 6 months ago,.
Is there anything else I can check?? or should I try tightening the belt up a bit??
Thanks

Try tightening the belt as it could be slipping.

Or the pump could be on the way out to be honest

Try checking the belt tension first, a loose belt will squeal.
Other possible faults:
Air leaking into system or worn pump.

6 months is plenty long enough to stretch a belt a bit..

Thanks for help. Probably not get a look till Sunday in the daylight as working till then.
Where would the air leak into the system?
Thanks Again

Leak at a hose union, pin prick rust hold in the rigid pipes anywhere, seals on box, perished rubber pipe etc
