hi. My 2013 Freelander 2 has been playing up. It only ever happens when turning left, never right.
It usually happens when turning into my drive, entering or exiting a roundabout, or turning left at a give way; never happened yet at speed, thank god.
It was checked over by Landr Rover dealership and they ordered a replacement PAS filter, flushed the system and that appeared to be that. But after a few more days it started playing up again.
There is a sudden onset resistance when initiating a turn of the steering wheel anti-clockwise, it lasts briefly and if I continue to apply pressure, it suddenly clears. BUT....
When it clears I can feel the obstruction (or whatever) clearing, and at the same time, we ( and anyone stood near the star) will her the loud clunk. It is a dull sound, not sharp ie like metal slapping metal.
It has to go back in tomorrow.... any Ida's as to what is causing the problem? As I said earlier, we have had the PAS system flushed and the PAS filter replaced already.
All suggestions appreciated.
