Double hammock is huge. I'd get my mate to make cupboards out of Mdf. The inch box section wouldn't be too heavy - 1 big frame doesn't weigh much past 10kg. The hammock supports I am thinking having one fixed at front passenger side then a flip up one on rear passengers. Tow eyes on each end to bolt to.Was just brainstorming..

I would only put items in sealed boxes. These can then lock in runners as your cupboards will shake to bits laneing.
Raise the floor & slide them out through back door.
Unsure about the hammock I know a double air bed (fits 2 ) lies in the back of a disco

Forgot yours is a 3 door.
You could hinge the floor & use struts to stop up.
Only problem would be you can't get to stuff once inside.

It is 5 door. Yes this is true, hence the hammock also. Could go for draws with the sealed boxes rather than cupboards and use locks to stop shaking/sliding?

Even easier now.
I used the rear passenger doors & build as 2way storage cupboards. You can acsess from inside or outside.
I Put an Ali bulkhead behind front seats keeps all the kit safe.
You can get good storage space in the rear foot wells.
I do not have any photos of my old conversion. Mine was built for motorsport recovery.

Camping trips will be fine with built in cupboards and stuff, Phil is right about the rattling out of place on laning trips though!!!
Certainly framing it out and fitting a false floor should be considered as it enables you to keep everything safe, low centre of gravity and if you were to design and build them that way then you could almost have full length roller draws

Yes and yes. @dieseldog69 is kindly donating a bulkhead and I was planning to put two way cupboards there. I could use that for the stuff I need to hand if camping. Tools spares and sleeping equipment can all go under raised floor. Steel or wood for raised floor frame/stud work? I could make it out of frame without issue. Welding definitely is useful

If it's going to be semi-permanent then I'd be tempted to build a frame out of 25mm box section and angle so and then the ply can be bolted to the top and the roller draws would be easy to fab up an mount.
