Hi people, New problem today, my 200tdi starts but as soon as I let the key go back from the start to ignition position it stops. Seems like its not staying switched on even though the ignition switch is on. Is it likely the switch or is there some sort of solenoid in there that coild be playing up?

Do you have a multi meter? You don’t need very much to get the solenoid to fire and stay open. You can do it with a 9v square battery if you are in a bind. So I would check the solenoid feed to see if it has power. If not then check the outputs on the ingniton switch.

Yep, put an independent 12v supply on the fuel solenoid and it stays running. Looks like ignition switch goosed, new one ordered
