Crank sensor removed. Tested gave o reading when attached to Iron when removed showed voltage back to o when attached to Iron again. Refitted to car.
Coil pack two terminal show ohms when tested.
Coil pack wires. Show no voltage with ignition on and when cranking. Both wires.

Crank sensor removed and bench tested working ok refitted.
CPS pack tested and giving ohms readings.
CPS cables tested no power with ignition on and when cranking.
Engine management light remains on when ignition on.

Sorry yes my fault.
Cp sensor removed bench tested working refitted.

I've got a niggly memory the ultrasound alarm thing can sometimes act up. Might be worth a Google or maybe @Saint.V8 can remember.

What about pulling the plug on the alarm sounder?
Could there be a fault there thats interfering?

Hi all The alarm is disabled in the BeCM. But I will unplug the sounder.
I managed to start removing the upper air intake over the weekend. I want to check the wiring at the back of the engine and under the intake for damage. Just to rule it out. Also have ordered a new crank position sensor as need to rule that out. Waiting to complete wiring check and part arrival. Will report progress later.

Hi all, part has arrived not fitted yet as only just got the air intake off today.look what I found. Two wires on the plug to the right coil pack melted and connected. Guess found out why I have no spark.

Strange with your problems there are no fault codes? That’s not right - what diagnostics are you using?
Does sound like immobiliser/sync issue off the bat, not necessarily, but I get that feeling.

When overheat happened and after cooling and restart engine ran rough. Then suddenly cut out would not restart, fault codes found showed misfires in various cylinders. Faults cleared at roadside in a hope that would get the car started. It didn't later found had no spark, no power to coil packs. The wires on this plug were twisted together copper showing on both. White and green, and white wires. As said before coil packs positioned behind battery, ran 2000 miles since moving coil packs.
