PASSED !
:tea::D:cool:

Insurance is with adrian flux on a classic fully comp 3kpa limited policy.

Happy he's roadworthy - it's been 7 months of swearing and setbacks, but totally worth it.

I've Just got a few things to mop up now it's worth the investment.

  • Interior trim
  • Brake Bias valve needs overhauling
  • Both upper kingpins need a few shims slipping out - found a bit of play in them
  • Get some Avon Tractions or similar for the lanes....
  • Tracking
  • Door tops and channels

And Now i can start on decking out the tub with all my Greenlane equipment !

Take your time with the bulkhead and footwells - you'll be fine. Invest in a Joggler as it'll make for decent long lasting welds.

yabbbbbaaaa dabbbaaaaaaaaaaaaa doooooooooooooooo

Ugh. ****ing weather
Seeing as its raining liek mad ATm, i've decided to wait a while and order the new door tops. I wanna keep Smidge as dry inside as possible.

In the meantime, i've finished re-trimming the interior....Crap pictures, as used my works fone....i'll get some moere tomorrow.

God it's really satisfying peeliong the old scabby vinyl off the trim panels...kinda like scabs....

Does anyone have a rear canvas tub cover for sale Khaki, or Black ??

Well guys, all finished, apart from a buggered indicator flasher unit.

Got the brand spanking doortops fitted today, finished the Schultz underneath, farted around with the tracking, and tickled the timing - drives quiter nicely now....well, as well as a landy can, that is :D

Not that i actually did much of the work on the window stripping initially.... my lad kinda took over...

Now the bad news - i need some readies...and pretty quickly......:mad:

So, in a bid to raise cash, Smidge is up for grabs - Gutted, but needs must at the end of the day.

He's in the for sales section, and i'd prefer to sell him to a Landyzone member, rather than someone from Ebay - so please, if any of you guys are looking for a S3 landy to love...feel free to drop me a PM ;)

sorry to hear that mate after all yer hard work, i have a mx5 to offload and probably wont be looking for one till next year , Shame cos that would fit the bill nicely, apart from the chequer plate lol ,

good luck wi the sale anyway ;)

bluddy hell after all that heart ache and hard work, well suppose the good thing will be hopefully enough money left over to get another project... lol

I've been quiet on here for quite a bit - sorry about that.

Things have happily moved forward at home, so the old girl is staying :)
So well in fact, i've managed to find a V8 to fit next summer......... :D

Now, whether I put it in smidge, or find another landy to rebuild is another question.

I'm going to keep the current lump, as It's in lovely knick, and I promised Max i'd look after it ;)

In typical Rhino fashion and timing, just as the cold weather comes in.....i'm Currently working on pulling the ****ed gearbox out of Smidge ( Nice one Elwood - Quality work on the layshaft ! :-/ !)- got a lovely one in great condition from... Ebay.... for £51 - practically stole it, really :D

Diffs need shimming, too - waaaaaaay too much play in the driving flange input.

Found some great tyres from..... Ebay ... I know.... sorry.... for a set of 4 205/80/16 mud terrain I paid £220 delivered.

Jazza.
