I am about to rebuild the swivels on a mate's 2001 TD5 110. Will the nuts holding the hub be staked or the regular double nut and bend over tab?

A staked nut has a plain flange a part of which that you bend over like you do a tab to prevent movement.

Thanks. And I guess the usual box spanner isn't man enough for the job right? Should I get a 52mm socket?

I have done mine quite recently. Not a difficult job by any means. Very Very messy though.

Yeah, you’ll need the socket and breaker bar.

An ideally a torque wrench to do them up

Should be staked nuts but reverting to double nut arrangement is not unknown so who knows?
